Our Projects
Pure Water has had projects in El Salvador and Honduras that are completed. The initial projects gave us the experience to know what it takes to run successful projects. Although we are constantly improving what and how we do what we do, our program is pretty well established.
Our program starts off with identifying communities where we believe we have a high likelihood for achieving sustainable long term success. We want to be associated with existing organizations within an area, like Rotary Clubs or religious or humanitarian organizations. When we identify a community or a group of people to serve, our first step is to do community socialization and education. This part of our program is to educate people about what it takes to protect clean, safe drinking water so that it does not become contaminated and to create the peer pressure and support from others within a community so that a program will succeed. Next we implement the method of purification that best meets the needs of the people or community that we are serving; in most of the Americas the problem is not sufficient water but contaminated water.

After we are drinking clean, safe water and are using clean, safe water for cooking and even personal hygiene, we do a parasitic treatment program. Finally we do follow up and monitoring to make sure that people are continuing to properly handle and treat their water.
