Kids Helping Kids Program

Would you like your students to be involved in a project that will impact the lives of school children in Haiti? If so, please consider adopting a school in the neediest areas of Haiti by raising $1,500 per school.

Jordan Hutchins, age 10, and a student at St. John’s Lutheran School in Dover, Delaware, wrote to Pure Water for the World after this school learned they had hit the $2,000 mark: “Everyone started screaming when she told us. If the people in Haiti could had heard us scream so loud they would have been happy to that they know that we care.  It’s pretty amazing what people do for others!”

For most of the children in Haiti, it is a struggle to survive. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Water-borne diseases run rampant in this country making them the second leading cause of sickness and death. When these children are suffering from sickness, they are not able to attend school, thus continuing the cycle of poverty.

To go along with Pure Water’s campaign in Haiti, we have developed a program, “Kids Helping Kids”, to raise awareness among the young people of North America as to the plight of the Haitian children. With this program, your students can learn about Haiti, the need for clean water and good hygiene, all the while raising funds for the school children in Haiti.

Now you can sponsor a classroom, school, orphanage, or health clinic.  A plaque at the facility will designate your sponsorship.  You will receive pictures of children who are benefiting from the program and a certificate of recognition.
