Earthquake Relief

On the afternoon of January 12, a powerful 7.0-magnitude earthquake devastated much of Port-au-Prince , Haiti ’s capital. Already a fragile city burdened by decades of poverty, Port-au-Prince was nearly destroyed in matter of seconds.
At present, the true extent of the damage is unknown. But it is already apparent that there is widespread suffering in Haiti .  In the aftermath, Pure Water for the World – a fixture in Haiti for more than 2 years – will continue its efforts to provide clean water to the children and families of Haiti . We will pursue our mission with renewed vigor in light of the desperate needs resulting from this monumental tragedy.  Without clean water, survivors of the earthquake are at extreme risk of contracting water-borne disease, in addition to suffering the lack of a basic necessity. Pure Water for the World has a proven record of helping Haitians, and we are committed to continuing at this time of crisis when the need for our resources is greater than ever.
