To: David Putt

David, I was referred to you by Roger Annis. I am going to Haiti on February 27 and would like to speak with you regarding the projects you are working in Haiti. Perhaps I can help in some technical areas including testing of water.

I am a water purification professional with 38 years of expeirence with all types of water treatment projects- municipal as well as industrial. I can help design systems ranging from 10 gpm to 20 million gallons per day, with technologies including clarification, filtration, RO, UF, MF and so on. I have my own water treatment company in Dallas TX area ( go to www.awtsusa.com ) . If possible call me on my office line, 972 733 4404

Wishing you all the best in Haiti!

David,

My name is Bryan Thompsonowak and I work for MCC (Mennonite Central Committee). Monica wanted to put us in touch, we received 1,000 of theses filters http://www.sawyerproducts.com/SP180.htm which are filters, not purifiers. Would you have any recommendations or advice as they are not purifiers. Some questions have arisen as to whether we should be sending these out with chlorine tabs, and if so are chlorine tabs being managed well by the average person? (If they get low on tabs will they begin rationing them?, proper usage of tabs, etc.) Or are these filters fine for people who are receiving water from water trucks or reservoirs?

Thanks for your help,

Bryan
